Lonicera Japonica Description: Lonicera japonica contains polyphenols substance including chlorogenic acid, isochlorogenic acid, and flavonoids. Chlorogenic acid has antibacterial property, and flavonoid substance, such as acolin, has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory activity. It has been developed as antiseptic in cosmetics. Besides, it has been found that Lonicera japonica has the activity of inhibiting melanin formation and precipitation, and can be used in whitening cosmetics.
