Hesperidin Description: Hesperidin extract from fruit peel of Rutaceae, it contains a lot of vitamin A. Hesperidin (hesperidin, HDN) is a glycoside produced by hesperetin and rutinose. It is a derivative of flavonone. It is widely distributed in many kinds of plants, such as Leguminosae, Rutaceae, Citrus L. and so on, and is rich in citrus peel.

China has a rich citrus resources, the third largest in the world, second only to Brazil and the United States. By 2000, the annual production of Citrus has reached more than 12 million. Citrus peel accounts for more than 20% of the total fruit weight. The active component of hesperidin is rich in citrus peel, which can be used for human being. Hesperidin is the hesperetin-7-O- rutinoside, from the Citrusreticulate Blanco and its cultivated varieties of dry mature peel. Hesperidin mostly in citrus processing waste, such as the fruit peel, fruit bag, the content of hesperidin is highest in mature peel and tissue (endocarp 30%-50%, vascular aurantii, nuclear, pulp 30%-50%, exocarp 10%-20%), juice and orange sac with low content of 1%-5%.

Hesperidin Application: It can be used in cosmetics industry, Hesperidin is a multi effect whitening factor which can inhibit tyrosinase activation, promote skin microcirculation and protect collagen. As a natural food antioxidant, it can be added to beverages, milk powder, confectionery products, vegetable oil and other foods to prevent food spoilage.
