Ferulic acid Description: the chemical name of ferulic acid is 4 hydroxy 3 methoxy cinnamic acid, it is derivatives of cinnamic acid (also known as cinnamic acid, 3 phenyl 2 acrylic acid, molecular structure). Ferulic acid originally found in plant seeds and leaves, is a kind of phenolic acid exists widely in plants, the cytoskeleton of the cell wall is combined with the polysaccharide and protein in the cell wall. It is one of the effective ingredients in the Chinese medicinal materials, such as Ferula asafoetida, Angelica sinensis, Ligusticum wallichii, Cimicifuga foetida L., semen zizyphi spinosae and so on. In food raw materials, high content of ferulic acid in rice husk, coffee, vanilla beans, wheat bran, rice bran. It has a wide range of uses in health care products, cosmetics raw materials and food additives.
