Description: Burdock is a plant in the sunflower family. Dried burdock roots are used in folk medicine and traditional Chinese medicine as a diuretic and a blood purifying agent. Burdock root is rich in protein, amino acids, vitamins and synanthrin (special to plants in Compositae), acids, phenols, aldehydes and polyalkynes and other small molecule active ingredients.
