Smilax glabra Description: Smilax glabra is a plant species in the genus Smilax. Smilax glabra contains various chemical components, such as saccharides, organic acids, phenylpropanoid, flavone and flavonoid glycosides, sterol, saponin and volatile oil.

It is also a key ingredient in the Chinese medical dessert guilinggao, which makes use of its property to set certain kinds of jelly.
